APABA, a 501(c)(6) organization, is the oldest and largest association of Asian Pacific American attorneys in the Washington, DC area. Founded in 1981, APABA is an affiliate chapter of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association. This blog is the product of efforts by the APABA Executive Board. It will provide updates on APABA activities and serve as a forum for feedback. APABA encourages its members to post their thoughts as comments to this blog.

CAREERS IN IMMIGRATION LAW

The Practicing Attorneys Resource Committee of APABA-DC invites you to a panel discussion on careers in immigration law. The panel brings together practitioners from private practice and the public interest sector, with backgrounds and experience in immigration policy and practice. The panelists will discuss their career paths, as well as ways in which members of the Asian Pacific American community can become involved in immigration issues.

The panelists will include:

Palma Yanni, a private practitioner in the field of immigration and former president of the American Immigration Lawyers Association;

Traci Hong, Director of the Immigration Program at the Asian American Justice Center; and

Suzy Hung, a private practitioner at the law firm of Arent Fox PLLC.
