APABA, a 501(c)(6) organization, is the oldest and largest association of Asian Pacific American attorneys in the Washington, DC area. Founded in 1981, APABA is an affiliate chapter of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association. This blog is the product of efforts by the APABA Executive Board. APABA-DC Announces 2006-2007 Board of Directors

WASHINGTON, D.C. – As the result of the recent passing of incoming President Robert E. Wone, The Asian Pacific American Bar Association of the Greater Washington, D.C. Area, Inc. (“APABA-DC”) has re-structured the previously-announced Board of Directors for 2006-2007 with incoming President-Elect John C. Truong assuming the position of APABA-DC President one year earlier than expected. The rest of the 2006-2007 APABA-DC Board of Directors is as follows:

APABA-DC’s Installation Dinner welcoming the 2006-2007 Board of Directors is now scheduled for October 12, 2006 at the National Press Club. Congressman Robert C. Scott (D. Va) will give the keynote speech. APABA-DC plans to honor Robert Wone, who passed before he could formally assume his role as APABA-DC’s next President. We join Robert’s wife, family and friends in mourning his passing.
